David Dufresne

Mr. Dufresne joined JLA Ventures and the BlackBerry Partners Fund in June 2008, armed with 6 years of experience in venture capital and technology investing. Mr. Dufresne started his career in venture capital in late 2001 as an analyst at Desjardins Venture Capital, where he quickly moved to an investment manager position and completed numerous transactions at all stages of the venture investment cycle. He brings to the team a vast knowledge of web and mobile technologies, multimedia, game development and related business strategies. David has built a strong local network inside the tech entrepreneur, venture capitalist and angel investor communities and he has sat, usually as an observer, on more than 12 boards of directors for tech companies.

Prior to Desjardins, David worked in a junior management position for the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and spent 4 years as an assistant and consultant for the Research Lab on Business Performance at UQTR. He holds a Msc. in Business Management from UQTR.
