Marc Faucher

As a Partner in the BlackBerry Partners Fund™, Marc is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and overseeing direct investments in a broad range of mobile application and infrastructure software companies. With more than 15 years of mobility and business development experience, his  experience enables him to play an integral role in the strategic direction and overall growth of emerging companies.  He represents BlackBerry Partners Fund on the boards of Neuralitic, Aepona, Anomalous Networks, Fuse Powered and Extreme Startups.

Prior to joining the fund in August 2008, Marc spent six years with Summerhill Venture Partners (formerly BCE Capital) investing in communications and technology centric companies throughout North America. Before Summerhill, he worked for a mobile service provider (Bell Mobility) in a corporate development capacity with additional focus on driving strategic equity investments. Prior to Bell, Marc was with The McKenna Group, a strategic consulting firm focused on companies operating within emerging technology markets. At McKenna, Marc worked extensively with early stage ventures on a broad range of initiatives including product development, go-to-market strategies, venture fund raising, etc.

Marc began his professional career with Ericsson Communications working as a product manager for wireless networks. At Ericsson, Marc played a key role in deploying the first TDMA fully integrated dual-band wireless network in the world for Rogers AT&T.

Marc has a BASc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
