The Jump Start Program is up, running, and looking for great companies.
On the first official night of the Blackerry Developer Conference, the BlackBerry Cool 15 event took place here in Santa Clara. We had a bunch of great applications presented and most people worked hard to melt my American Express card as I picked up the tab so to speak. Hmmm, enough points to get a first class, round trip ticket to, wow, Mars. Anyway, great fun for all.
There were two companies that I really liked. I offered to fund them, via our seed program, on the spot.
These guys have one of the best on device rendering tools I've seen. It's amazingly good. I'm digging into the technology and brains behind all of this but on the surface, it is certainly something I and many others will pay for. The product, Beam Reader, is a really well done product and I urge you to take a look.
LowJack for blackberry along with a ton of great services and features which will come in handy in the management and protection of your BlackBerry. They have three products as you can see on the product page with the specifics on the guardian product here. This has some great potential.
It was a full room of rowdy developers with beer. My kinda place.
