Apple MacBook Air with M1 review: new chip, no problem - The Verge

Apple’s Macbook Air is a leading brand known for its outstanding quality over the years, making it a favorite among the super-thin ultra-portable models. Over the years, Apple has been consistent in updating the model, and the most recent is the upcoming Apple M1 Macbook Ait. It has far better processing speed and performance than its predecessors, making it a highly valued machine. While we liked the 2021’s update, it was not a transformative model.

The 2021 Macbook Air is a 13-inch portable laptop with impressive performance and great value compared to other Mac computers. It comes with a 30-hour battery, making it an ideal laptop for traveling video porno. Let’s dive into its unique features.

Premium Portability – Sleek Model

Unsurprisingly for one of the world’s most popular computers, the new design is very familiar. Not much has changed since the previous version from the exterior, so it might take a while to tell them apart. The model comes in three color options, and it is an all-metal design of both high quality and unmatched sturdiness.

MacBook Air remains one of the most luxurious yet portable builds of all time. It weighs only 2.8 pounds and measures 0.63 inches by 11.97 inches by 8.36 inches. It is the thinnest kind and relatively light for a model with such superior characteristics. Any student looking for a sleek model to take to class or a business professional headed for a meeting will find the Apple M1 Macbook Air appealing.

A Magical Keyboard

The keyboard fixed in the previous model was mostly flawed. Thankfully, this time Apple has replaced the maligned butterfly keyboard prone to broken keys and dust with a new magical keyboard. The latter offers a better typing experience. All the keys feature rubber domes and scissor switches for a bouncier typing experience with more key travel.

There is a Touch ID sensor at the top right corner of the keyboard to ease powering and sign in with your fingerprint. Therefore, you don’t have to use passwords. There is no touch bar button, meaning that you get a physical escape button on the keyboard’s top left corner. Since the touch bar is polarizing, you may consider this a plus.

Sharp Retina Display

The display of the M1 MacBook Air is as brilliant as ever. The 13.3-inch screen is utilized in this version, delivering a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2,560 by 1,600 pixels. It is nontrivially higher than the 1,920 by 1,080 resolution standard on mainstream laptops. Although it is short of 4K, the resolution is perfect for travelers as it doesn’t drain battery life.

The screen looks fantastic, thanks to the black borders and Apple’s True Tone technology to adjust the display’s white balance to match the ambient lighting. It can be more comfortable and more pleasing on your eyes, though you can turn it off entirely within the system preferences if you wish.

Bottom Line

The MacBook Air M1 is with no doubt the best traveling laptop for 2022. It features enhanced performance and exceptional battery life, alongside its sleek look. Not only is it way better than the predecessors, but it also offers unmatched value.
